Basic Black and White {23 of 30}

necklace - Kellie Creates (buy)
bracelet - World Market
Calvin Klein dress - Marshalls
Merona wedges - Target

I've been having this issue lately where my back just randomly spasms, especially when I'm bending over or just really stressed out. That's of no interest to you, I'm sure, but this problem influenced my decision to wear a dress yesterday. You see, along with the back spasms comes a tightness that prevents me from being able to touch my toes or reach for the floor in any way, and putting pants on is quite the challenge. I decided I wasn't up for the challenge, so I wore a dress. That is all.

Hell Week {22 of 30}

necklace - Betsey Johnson
bracelet - World Market
Green Envelope top - Marshalls
pencil skirt - Marshalls
Merona wedges - Target

My first week of work after vacation was also my boss's vacation, and it was also move-in week at the university. There's a bunch of events to cater as well as usual business to keep up with, so I stayed busy. A long day with multiple VIP events prompted me to go for a part comfortable, part professional outfit, and it worked out quite well!

Ahead of the Curve {5 of 30}

necklace - Kellie Creates (buy)
bracelets - Target (buy similar)
Merona belt - Target
top - Loft
Silver Jeans shorts - Maurices (buy similar)
Mossimo sandals - Target

I had no intention of taking outfit photos yesterday. I was a day ahead on posting and needed to get a custom order done, but I miraculously got the necklace done with enough time to spare to get dressed and take photos (both of my outfit and of the necklace) before having to run to the Navy base to bring my sailor some things he'd left at home. I even got the photos edited before I had to leave!

If only every day off could be so productive!

Weekender {4 of 30}

necklace - Target (buy similar)
bracelet - World Market
sunglasses - Fossil (buy similar)
Green Envelope top - Marshalls (buy)
Silver Jeans shorts - Maurices (buy similar)
Mossimo sandals - Target

A quick stop in to work and a few errands calls for something mostly comfy with a little bit of cute. Matt and I don't have a washer and dryer at the new place, yet, and our lease on the old apartment doesn't end until next week, so a laundry trip to our old digs was in order to make sure all of my remix items were clean. I never thought I would look forward to acquiring appliances, but man am I excited about getting our very own washer and dryer!

Keep it Simple

earrings - Target (buy similar)
bracelet - World Market (buy similar)
Calvin Klein dress - Marshalls
Aerosoles wedges - TJ Maxx (buy similar)

I wasn't planning to take an outfit photo this morning, I just wanted something simple but cute since Matt came home today from being underway for a week. But once I got dressed and saw how well such simple pieces came together I decided it was worth getting to work a few minutes late to take a few photos. Would you agree?

Work Casual

necklaces - Etsy, It's Eclectic
bracelet - JC Penney
Green Envelope shirt - Marshalls
Mossimo pants - Target
Mossimo sandals - Target (buy)

I had to pop into work on Saturday to do my managerial duty of making sure my staff had the night's prom under control. They did, and after conducting some quality assurance (a.k.a. sampling some of the food) I headed back home to the pup.

Easy outfit for an easy day.

EBEW: Nautical

necklace - Target
bracelet - World Market
watch - Fossil
belt - Forever 21
Green Envelope top - Marshalls
pencil skirt - Marshalls
Aerosoles wedges - TJ Maxx

Finally! Nautical!

I've been hoping that nautical would be chosen for Everybody Everywear for a while, since it's one of my favorite themes to turn to for style inspiration. Perhaps it's the result of dating a sailor, or living in a Navy town, or living in Florida, or living on the coast ... Maybe it's all of the above? Either way, here's some more of my nautical-inspired ensembles:

Clumsy

necklace - Target / bracelets - Target / watch - Fossil / belt - Delia's / top - Loft / pants - TJ Maxx
Merona wedges - Target

This morning I fumbled my hair straightener and caught it. By one of the 400-degree plates. With my thumb. This makes three times in the past few weeks that I've managed to suffer second-degree burns, and I had to take outfit photos this morning while clutching a couple of ice cubes wrapped in paper towels.

Oh, the things I'll do to get an outfit post done ...

Last Friday

necklace - Kellie Creates (SOLD OUT - buy similar)
bracelet - JC Penney (buy similar) / watch - Fossil (buy) / top - Loft (SOLD OUT) / pants - Gap (SOLD OUT)
Merona wedges - Target (buy)

When I didn't update E&O on Saturday and then again on Sunday, I contended with some guilt. I usually post every day, I thought. I'm breaking my pattern! My routine is ruined!

But then I realized that sometimes there are more important things to worry about than posting to the blog every day, like powering through a twelve-hour work day or taking a moment to sit on the beach with a mimosa and watch a guy named Fischer get arrested for public drunkenness.

So this is my outfit from last Friday, do you really care that I didn't post it right away? Didn't think so.

Another Nautical

necklaces - It's Eclectic, made from other necklaces / watch - Fossil / bracelets - Target (buy similar)
belt - came with Forever 21 shorts / tank - Loft (ON SALE! - buy) / Mossimo cardigan - Target
Mossimo pants - Target (buy) / Aerosoles wedges - TJ Maxx

I've had a blue and white striped tank top on my closet wish list for close to a year, now. I guess that patience pays off, because I not only finally found one, but I found one at fifty percent off of its sale price. I think nautical might end up being one of my signature styles this spring and summer, I've always been drawn to all things nautical -- I taught sailing as a camp counselor, I'm marrying a sailor ... -- and I think the style is perfectly suited to warmer temperatures.

EBEW: Green (Orange, Too!)

nails - OPI "Strawberry Margarita" (buy) / necklace - Stein Mart / bracelets - Target / watch - Fossil
belt - Target / Mossimo cardigan - Target / Calvin Klein dress - Marshalls (buy maxi version)
Merona wedges - Target (buy)

I don't have much true green in my closet, and seeing how this cardigan always comes through for me I decided to toss it over one of my new favorite dresses and top everything off with an orange belt as a nod to my Irish ancestry. My outfit for St. Patrick's Day should be interesting since I may end up heading back to Bike Week right after work that night. I think some t-shirt DIYing might be in my future ...
