The dress that I'm wearing in the very first Elephants & Owls post actually had to be retired, and I was so sad about it. I put too much stress on the poor thing at work (squatting, bending over, climbing, lifting, I do it all!) and it was starting to literally come apart at the seams. I checked Target's website, and the only dress they had left was tan, and it was an extra large. I came up with the same results on Amazon and eBay.
So imagine how happy I was when I saw this dress hanging on a final sale rack at Loft! I tried several on, only to find out I wear a petite size there (um, yes!) and walked out of the store with it after spending only eleven dollars! I paired with with my nude Merona wedges from Target, the belt that came with my Windsor shirt from yesterday, and a layered necklace from Private Gallery. One of the servers at work today liked my dress so much -- especially after I told her how much I paid for it -- that she headed to Loft right after she left work. I hope they had her size!
Oh, and how cool is this picture? I found out about this iPhone app called Diptic from the Face of Fox 30. She's gorgeous and has awesome style, I love looking at her pictures for inspiration!
With love, in my newest LBD.
